About the court

The Dwarka Court is the District Court of the South-West District. It is located in Sector -10, Dwarka, New Delhi. The Dwarka District Court was completed in its construction in the year 2008. It was inaugurated by the honourable Chief Justice of India Sh. K.G. Balakrishanan on 6th September 2008. Dwarka Court is another modern functional District Court Complex in Delhi.

Basically, an institution that delivers justice and auxiliary support to the justice delivery system is known as a District court. The District courts are situated in six locations in Delhi. Currently, their nine District courts are functioning.

Structure of Dwarka Court

Delhi District Court Dwarka covers an area of 3.70 HA. The Court is built up in such a way that the judge’s chambers are on separate and exclusive floors between the two courtroom floors. At certain levels, Dwarka Court Delhi has a separate Administrative Block attached to the courtrooms block. The Lawyers Chamber Block is an independent structure in the Court Complex. Currently, there are 79 Court Rooms available at the Dwarka Court, like the family court, DLAS, and various other branches.

Branches operational at Dwarka Court

  • Conference Room- Wing B of the Court Building, Room No. 8, Ground Floor. Video conferencing is available between the court and the jail, as well as between the court and other court buildings, such as the High Court.
  • Cash Branch- Administrative Block, Ground Floor. This branch is in charge of receiving and depositing fines, fees, challans, and other monetary receipts in the government treasury or RBI.
  • Nazarat Branch- Administrative Block, 1st Floor. Process Serving Agency is another name for it. It is mainly responsible for delivering or executing various procedures issued by the Saket Courts.
  • Accounts Branch- Administrative Block, 2nd Floor. This area is in charge of all employee and employer pay and allowances.
  • Administration Branch- 5th Floor in the Administrative Block. It is in charge of the staff at the court complex’s administrative functions.
  • RTI Branch- 5th Floor in the Administrative Block. · It is headed by a Public Information Officer. All the applications received by the Officer is duly sent to their respective quarters and is disposed of by him.
  • Record Room- Sixth Floor of the Administrative Block. The judicial officials’ consignment of files and matured judicial records are disposed of in this place.
  • Copying Agency- Ground Floor in the Administrative Block. They provide certified copies of documents related to judicial case files on delivering an application.
  • Computer Branch- 5th Floor in the Administrative Block. · This Branch manages the computer facilities installed in all the courts, departments and residences of judicial officers. They provide technical assistance to troubleshoot problems whenever required.
  • Library- 2nd Floor in the Administrative Block. However, it is yet to be fully constructed. The judicial officers can access all the books, journals and newspapers.
  • Judicial Branch- 2nd Floor in the Administrative Block. This Branch deals with the matters associated with the Judicial Officers. It also keeps track of leaves, training programmes, monthly disposal statements, etc.
  • ACMM Office- 1st Floor in the Court Room Block in Chamber No. 210. The primary function of the ACMM office is to receive or dispatch letters or orders to and from the High and Supreme Court of India for the necessary action.
  • Legal Aid Services- Ground Floor in the Administrative Block. The Office of DLAS provides free legal advice to the needy, poor, scheduled caste, women, children, etc.
  • Family Courts- 3rd Floor of the Court Building in the ‘A’ & ‘B’ Wing. It has unique areas designed to meet the needs of children who come to the proceedings with their parents.
  • Mediation Centre- 3rd Floor in the Administrative Block. · Dwarka Court has a free Mediation Centre.

Other facilities available to the public

Thousands of litigants, advocates, lawyers, and members of the general public, in addition to judicial officers, frequent Dwarka Court. The e court Dwarka keeps track of a large number of footfalls and provides the basic convenience service to the visitors. They have handicap friendly structures, public convenience, parking, sitting arrangements, government dispensary, stamp vendors, file inspection, security and transport allowances of witnesses.

How to check your case status?

Each case is provided with a unique identity number, CNR- Case Number record. Dwarka Court Case Status can be accessed online by clicking on the services tab placed on the right of the North website only on their official website.

This CNR provided to all the litigants, advocates and stakeholders for their respective cases from the concerned courts for all future references remain constant.

You can search for the Dwarka Court cause list through the electronic portal of the Dwarka Court. The e-court Dwarka provides you with online access to your case. A petitioner or a respondent can view a case status.
